Who we are

PawFlame ("we") operates https://pawflame.com/, a place to create digital memorials for beloved pets. For any privacy question or request, write to hello@pawflame.com.

What we collect and why

Memorial content. The photo, name, dates, tribute and optional map location you provide are published on the memorial page you create — that is their purpose. Please only upload photos you have the right to share.

Your email address. Used to send you your private management link, payment confirmations, and — only if you welcome it — a yearly remembrance note. Never displayed publicly, never sold, never shared with third parties for marketing.

Messages and candles from visitors. The name and message a visitor chooses to leave are published on the memorial page. We store a hashed (unreadable) form of the IP address purely to prevent spam and abuse.

Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment itself; we store only the payment status and amount.

Analytics. If analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation, and only after you accept the cookie notice. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process memorial content and your email to perform the service you asked for (contract). Anti-abuse measures rest on our legitimate interest in keeping this space safe and kind. Analytics run only on your consent.

How long we keep data

Memorials are meant to last — that is the promise of this place — so they stay until you ask us to remove them. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Hashed IP records are deleted after 12 months.

Your rights

You may ask at any time to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to have a whole memorial removed. Write to hello@pawflame.com and we will handle it personally, usually within a few days. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Where data lives

The site is hosted within the European Union. Stripe and Google may process limited data outside the EU under approved safeguards (standard contractual clauses).
